ACRYLIC SEALANT
Description:
Acrylic Sealant is a flexible, water‑based sealing compound designed for filling gaps and joints. It adheres well to most building materials and provides a smooth, paintable finish once cured. It consists of the following;
- Polymers: Acrylate polymers (e.g., butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate)
- Plasticizers: Improve flexibility (e.g., phthalates, epoxy esters)
- Fillers: Mineral fillers for body
- Additives: Stabilizers, initiators, VOC‑controlled compounds
- Solvent/Carrier: Water (for water‑based types)
Applications:
1.Sealing joints around doors, windows, and skirting boards
2.Filling cracks in plaster, brick, and concrete
3.Interior use where movement is minimal
4.Ideal for areas that require painting after sealing
Storage:
Keep sealed in a cool, dry place. Protect from frost and direct sunlight. Shelf life: 12–18 months unopened.
How to Apply:
Cut nozzle at an angle, apply with a sealant gun into clean, dry joints. Smooth with a spatula or damp cloth. Allow curing for 24 hours before painting.
